There aren't too many local Chinese restaurants with the attention to detail that the Jade Palace exhibits. The food is good, the service better. My hot tea( and a fine tea it is too) is replenished constantly and if the tea glass is too hot, my waitress wraps it; questions are asked as to whether I would like the soup hotter. And where in the Hudson Valley are there chocolate fortune cookies? Here at the Jade Palace. I would also like to comment on "John's" diatribe on "real" Chinese food. No, this isn't. The restaurant isn't filthy; there are no toxic chemicals in the area, and the pork doesn't bark. Arrogance thy name is John. So if you like very good Chinese AMERICAN cuisine and lovely service in a clean and welcoming atmosphere--the Jade Palace is for you.?

I'm Chinese. I lived in China for over 25 years and tried food from almost all parts of China. Do I have the authority to judge what's authentic chinese food what's not? Well, this so called "authentic" Chinese food is what Americans think "authentic" Chinese foods are like. General Tso's Chicken, fortune cookies and stuff. There are no such things in China. In general, Chinese food are either too spicy, or too oily, or too exotic* for american stomachs. That's why truly authentic chinese food can't be found in american soil. There's an old saying in China that can be translated ...? More ?
